Class Description:

This session is designed to give teachers a process for determining what data to analyze when trying to answer a question about students and instruction or make a decision about students and instruction.  The session also provides teachers a data protocol to use when analyzing student data individually or in collaboration with others.

 

Note: Participants may find this session more valuable if they come with recent student work.  

Outcomes & Takeaway(s):

Participants will gain a greater understanding of:

  • How to determine which data source to analyze when trying to answer questions or make decisions related to a learning outcome.

  • How to use data protocols and other data tools to support data conversations.

Class Level:  

Introductory - Getting started in an area, examples of possible entry points for implementation, foundational components of a practice/strategy, or big picture thinking around a practice/strategy.
