Creating Rubrics with Students
Class Description & Purpose:
Participants will have an opportunity to review the components of a high quality rubric and will use this knowledge, along with new strategies, in order to create a plan to use student input when developing a rubric. Please bring a unit and/or assessment for which you’d like to develop a rubric and your laptop.
- Review the components of a high quality rubric
- Explore the ways teachers can use student input to create a rubric without losing sight of the learning objectives
Submit a rubric showing evidence of student input and a reflection on the process you used for refinement
Reimagined - Practices/strategies that embody out of the box thinking, high-level 21st Century learning opportunities, or authentic and collaborative experiences for students.
