Class Description & Purpose:

Participants will learn how to utilize curriculum supports to plan for writing instruction and explore structures to effectively implement balanced literacy instruction in writing.

Outcomes:
  • Understand instructional strategies in best practices in writing instruction

  • Determine what to teach by analyzing student need based on grade level expectations

  • Evaluate structures to support best practices in writing instruction

  • Develop a plan for implementing best practices in writing instruction to support student learning.
