Class Description & Purpose:

Participants will have the opportunity to explore the best practices for writing instruction including but not limited to the following:

  • Planning
  • Organizing
  • Drafting
  • Editing
  • Publishing
Outcomes:
  • Explore processes for writing instruction
  • Create a writing process or processes for students to use in your classroom utilizing best practices
Takeaway(s):

Refine a unit or create an implementation plan for stronger written literacy.

Class Level:  

Introductory - Getting started in an area, examples of possible entry points for implementation, foundational components of a practice/strategy, or big picture thinking around a practice/strategy.
