Class Description & Purpose:

Have you ever seen 1-page notes using doodling and other graphic illustrations?  This session helps participants learn more about sketchnoting, the tips and tricks you can use to engage learners, and deepen learning through graphic ways.

Outcomes: 
  • Process the what, why, and how to use sketchnoting for a variety of purposes (for the person processing information as an input or for a person to capture thinking of others)
  • Make sense of the cognitive science behind memory and learning through visuals
  • Practice sketchnoting as a tool for engaging learners and deepening learning
Takeaways:

Consider the learning implications of using sketchnoting for teachers and students

Class Level:  

Introductory - Getting started in an area, examples of possible entry points for implementation, foundational components of a practice/strategy, or big picture thinking around a practice/strategy.
