Class Description & Purpose:

Getting started with differentiation means to create a common understanding of research based differentiation strategies that can be used for implementation of high quality planning and instruction in the classroom.  In this class participants will develop an understanding of the key components of differentiation strategies and identify how some of these strategies can be used to improve classroom instruction and/or learning.

Outcomes:
  • Analyze and understand the framework for creating and maintaining differentiated learning environments and opportunities
  • Evaluate the implications of differentiation for their own classroom/practice

Create an action plan for integrating a new differentiation practice into your classroom

Class Level:  

Introductory - Getting started in an area, examples of possible entry points for implementation, foundational components of a practice/strategy, or big picture thinking around a practice/strategy.
