Class Purpose:

Participants will explore the components of high quality student projects and how they can be personalized to improve student ownership. This session is for teachers looking to upgrade projects from their existing units by empowering students  to brainstorm ideas, plan, create, and manage their projects in an individual or collaborative environment.

Outcomes: 
  • Identify what make an authentic project and how personalization can improve student ownership

  • Evaluate the various components of a high quality project

  • Analyze how they could integrate personalized learning experiences into the various components of a high quality project

Takeaway(s):
  • Participants will develop an action plan that shows how they will integrate personalized learning experiences in a project to improve student ownership.

Introductory - Getting started in an area, examples of possible entry points for implementation, foundational components of a practice/strategy, or big picture thinking around a practice/strategy.
