Class Description & Purpose:

In this class, participants will explore various design processes to use with students in the classroom.

Outcomes:

Create opportunities for students to apply the design processes to provide meaningful problem solving opportunities for students.

  • Explore various design processes for use in the classroom

  • Generate or adapt, and evaluate a design process example to integrate into your practice

  • Create a design challenge for future applications

Takeaway(s): 

Select and/or adapt a design process to be used by students in the classroom for an upcoming unit.

Class Level:  

Introductory - Getting started in an area, examples of possible entry points for implementation, foundational components of a practice/strategy, or big picture thinking around a practice/strategy.
