Class Description & Purpose:

This class is for participants who are interested in the “What, Why, and How” associated with collaborating with students.  In this class, participants will have the opportunity to analyze and evaluate strategies based on student/teacher collaboration in the following areas:

  • Outcomes/goals

  • Assessment

  • Instruction

  • Learning opportunities

Outcomes:

Participants will be able to...

  • Analyze the value added in collaborating with students in each stage of the learning process

  • Evaluate resources and strategies that support your goals based on collaborating with students
Takeaway(s):

Participants will explore strategies and resources based on collaborating with students in each stage of the learning process. Participants will create action steps for the implementation of each strategy based on sustainability.

Class Level:  

Introductory - Getting started in an area, examples of possible entry points for implementation, foundational components of a practice/strategy, or big picture thinking around a practice/strategy.
